"It was clean and comfortable. The location is great for its proximity to downtown. I felt maybe a little too expensive for what it offers.I was not really prepared for bathtub and bathroom to be separate and the room is really small. But it had everything and
was comfortable. The front desk staff were fantastic. So if luxury isn't most important it was great. I hated the restaurant because it was completely Mexican food which I cannot eat.Breakfast was wonderful the rest was iffy."

"When I checked out the charge card connection was not working and the desk person said he would fax a copy of the paid bill. I checked out on Tuesday 10/28 and I have not received the fax. I hope the original is in the mail as he promised? I need this doc to complete my travel report for work!
Number 2 above -- the carpet in 917 really needs a good shampoo (or a change). Couldn't tell if these were food stains or cigarette burns. Please spruce up the carpet.
Loved the mattress and the pillows. Yum-yum.
Aside from the couple of negatives above, I liked staying at the Vance very much -- it's cozy and historical (I like older properties) and so convenient to where I needed to be for a conference (Westin) and in easy, easy walking distance of good restaurants, shopping, the art museum, and just the buzz of the Public Market. I'd return to Vance and would ask for a corner room (loved that the windows made the smallish room seem bigger)."
